Top 5 Ways to Shoot Headshots

1. Consult

It is important to have a strategic meeting to discuss the brand and personalities involved with the headshot. What is the image you want to portray? What clothing is better for the photos? Where are you going to use these photos? Different types of professions require a different image and it is important to discuss this before the shoot.

2. Clothing

The head shot should generally be about the face of the subject. Clothing should add to the photo but not distract. 

3. The Background

We can shoot outdoors, in your office/place of business or my studio. The background however should not distract from the headshot. 

4. Relax

There is nothing worse than a photo that looks forced - think of children school photos. I will help you to relax so we get a natural and beautiful headshot.

5. Lighting 

Lighting a headshot is key and is where I excel. The angle, the lighting, the flash all make or break a headshot.
